Prayer Walk

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Join us for a self-paced PRAYER WALK in celebration of National Day of Prayer, May 6-9.

All weekend starting on the official National Day of Prayer, May 6 special prayer stations will be set up around Holy Cross.  Pick up your prayer guide at the Church entrance by the bell tower and walk to as many as you’d like to meditate and pray.

 

 

Additional details:

  • The whole family is invited to join and pray together.
  • Prayer guides with a map and a small gift will be available for pickup at the Bell Tower entrance.
  • Prayers points are numbered for mapping purposes, feel free to pray in whatever order you’d like
  • Church Sanctuary and Chapel will also be open for prayer from 8am-5pm on Thursday and Friday.
  • Prayer walk is outside, masks are not required.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 – I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

Romans 13:1 – Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Hebrews 13:17 – Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

Exodus 18:21 – But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.

Psalm 37:7 – Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.
