8:15: Skydivers

8:30: 76 Trombones, Coming to America Parade of Nations

8:40: Pledge of Allegiance, Posting of the Colors, National Anthem

8:45: Doc Flyover, Wichita Grand Opera Orchestra & Choir Concert

9:15: Armed Forces Salute with Special Guest speaker

9:30: 1812 Overture, Star Spangled Banner finale with Artillery from the National Guard

9:40: Fireworks Finale

Games & Activities: Family friendly games like corn hole and giant jenga as well as fun science experiments & crafts from our friends at Exploration place will be available for you and your family to enjoy from 6:30-7:30 pm

Holy Cross German Band: Enjoy music by our very own German band while you eat, view the car show, play games & enjoy the children’s activities

Car Show: View an assortment of classic and unique cars

Children Chorus: Join the children of HC as they lead us in classic patriotic sing along songs

Bi-plane flyover:  Enjoy a flyover of Biplanes prior to the concert 

Skydivers: Skydivers from Wichita Air Capital Drop Zone 

Parade of Nations: A parade of US citizens from other nations will lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance, helping us celebrate the many immigrants that have come to America seeking the God-given freedoms this event is created to celebrate.

Posting of the Colors: A special presentation by the color guard of The United States

Flyover:  To start the show, enjoy a flyover by the B-29 Doc, a rare World War II bomber.

Armed Forces Salute: A special tribute and speech honoring the men and women of our Armed Forces.

Concert: Adult Choir with special guest soloists, accompanied by the incredible Wichita Grand Opera Orchestra and cannons provided by Kansas National Guard 130th Field Artillery Brigade

Fireworks: A spectacular fireworks show presented by Stellar Fireworks

    • This is a FREE community outreach event
    • Food will be provided until it runs out.  Feel free to bring outside food and drink. NO ALCOHOL is allowed.
    • Bring your chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the food, concert & fireworks.
    • Please stay with your children at all times.  Family activity area is intended to be enjoyed together, as a family.  Please keep children away from the pond.  No fishing is allowed at this event.
    • Please no pets except service animals.
    • Event parking will be in the Beech parking lot, south of Holy Cross, on Greenwich.  Shuttles will be available to bring you to/from the event. Additional parking, with bus service is also available at Flight Safety, on Greenwich, north of Holy Cross.  The Optimal fitness parking lot at Central and Greenwich and the bank/shopping center at the corner of Greenwich and Central is open for parking, but no shuttle will be stopping here.
    • This is an outdoor event, no masks will be required.  Please be aware of physical distancing where appropriate.  Hand sanitizer will also be available.
    • Please be kind and respectful to one another, our neighbors, and the Church grounds.
