Music Ministry

“Next to the Word of God, the noble art of music is the greatest treasure in the world. ” -Martin Luther

Adult Choir

The Adult Choir at Holy Cross is a wonderful example of a small church functioning within the larger church family. Besides working hard to contribute regularly to our worship services, the Choir has a lot of fun together.

Teresa Hauschild is our Adult Choir Director. The average Choir attendance on Sunday mornings is thirty-five to forty members. The Choir sings at one service every Sunday between September 1st and June 1st, except for festival Sundays and other special services when they sing for both Sunday services. They sing varied literature, ranging from classical to contemporary styles and gospel.

There are numerous social functions during the year which the group enjoys. The results are close Christian fellowship and a real support group for Choir members. New singers are always warmly welcomed, and we encourage you to consider joining us if you love to sing and find it fulfilling to praise the Lord through music.

Saturday Night Praise Team

The Saturday evening service at 6:00 p.m. is informal in nature and the music is contemporary. A praise team of six to ten musicians and singers of all ages leads worship music utilizing a variety of instruments. To participate, contact Aaron Mayes or Cassidy Cheray.

Bell Choir

The Bell Choir participates in worship services on a monthly basis, September 1st through June 1st and at special services. The five-octave choir rehearses weekly (except during the summer) on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. To participate, contact the Church Office.

Children’s Choirs

Six Children’s Choirs participate regularly in worship services. Three choirs are associated with the school and three with the Sunday School program. To participate, contact the Church Office.

Solos, ensembles and mixed groups

There is ample opportunity for singers and musicians to participate in worship services and other events as soloists and in small ensembles if they desire. For more information, contact the Church Office.
