7:15 PM Holy Cross School Children sing patriotic and Americana music with a sing-along

7:30 PM Biplanes Flyover 

7:45 PM Skydivers

7:55 PM McConnell Air Force Base Honor Guard Presents the Colors 

8:00 PM. Concert with large Chorus and the 45-piece Wichita Grand Opera Orchestra 

9:15 PM. Fireworks! 

Event ends at 9:45 PM

Join us for delicious BBQ while supplies last.  

Water will be available.

You may also bring your own food and drink, no alcohol please.

Entertainment

Games & Activities: Family friendly games like corn hole and giant jingo as well as fun crafts will be available for you and your family to enjoy from 6:30-7:30 pm

Military Service Dog demonstration: The McConnell AFB 22nd Security Forces squadron will provide  a demonstration of their Service Dogs.

Bi-plane flyover:  Enjoy a flyover of Biplanes.  (insert details about biplanes-type,  who is providing them, etc)

Skydivers:  skydiver information

Concert: Holy Cross Lutheran Church Children’s Choir will perform followed by a  large choir with special guest soloists, accompanied by the incredible Wichita Grand Opera Orchestra.  

Musical selections to include: The National Anthem, The Armed Forces Medley, The William Tell Overture, The Lincoln Portrait, Amazing Grace, Deep River and a variety of other Americana pieces. Concert will include a tribute to our Military service dogs.

Rules & Guidelines
  • This is a FREE community outreach event
  • Food will be provided for approximately 1500 people or until it runs out.  Feel free to bring outside food and drink. NO ALCOHOL is allowed.
  • Bring your chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the concert & fireworks.
  • Please stay with your children at all times.  Family activity area is intended to be enjoyed together, as a family.  Please keep children away from the pond.  No fishing is allowed at this event.
  • Please no pets except service animals.
  • Event parking will be in the Beech parking lot, south of Holy Cross, on Greenwich.  Shuttles will be available to bring you to/from the event.
  • Please be kind and respectful to one another, our neighbors, and the Church grounds.
