8:30 PM Concert begins with Honor Guard Flag presentation and KC-46 flyover

Join us for delicious BBQ, pulled pork, chicken wings, hot links, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, and cookies, while supplies last.  

Water will be available.

You may also bring your own food and drink, no alcohol please.


Games & Activities: Family friendly games like corn hole and giant jenga  as well as fun crafts will be available for you and your family to enjoy from 6:30-7:30 pm

Military Service Dog demonstration: The McConnell AFB 22nd Security Forces squadron will provide  a demonstration of their Service Dogs (6:45 & 7:15 pm)

Sweet Adelines: The Wichita Chorus, part of Sweet Adelines Int’l, is an incredible  group of  women singing barbershop and sharing the joy of music.

Bi-plane flyover:  Enjoy a flyover of Biplanes prior to the concert (7:45pm)

Children’s Choir: The Holy Cross children’s choir will lead the crowd in a patriotic sing along

Skydivers: Skydivers from Wichita Air Capital Drop Zone (8:15pm)

Honor Guard Flag Presentation

KC-46 Flyover: 924th ARS from McConnell AFB will provide a flyover in the newest addition to the Air Force, the KC-46 Pegasus.

Concert: Adult Choir with special guest soloists, accompanied by the incredible Wichita Grand Opera Orchestra and cannons provided by Kansas National Guard 130th Field Artillery Brigade will begin at 8:30pm  

Musical selections to include: The National Anthem, The Armed Forces Medley, The William Tell Overture, The Lincoln Portrait, Amazing Grace, Deep River and a variety of other Americana pieces. Concert will include a tribute to our Military service dogs.

Fireworks– A spectacular fireworks show will begin at  approximately 9:45 pm

  • This is a FREE community outreach event
  • Food will be provided for approximately 1500 people or until it runs out.  Feel free to bring outside food and drink. NO ALCOHOL is allowed.
  • Bring your chairs and blankets to relax and enjoy the concert & fireworks.
  • Please stay with your children at all times.  Family activity area is intended to be enjoyed together, as a family.  Please keep children away from the pond.  No fishing is allowed at this event.
  • Please no pets except service animals.
  • Event parking will be in the Beech parking lot, south of Holy Cross, on Greenwich.  Shuttles will be available to bring you to/from the event.
  • Please be kind and respectful to one another, our neighbors, and the Church grounds.
