Exodus 1 –  Many Generations Later

How long does it take to increase from 70 to “the land was filled with them?” How many generations does it take to forget history and live only for the present? What should we remember about the past that would help us in our daily lives today?  What “slaveries” are we undergoing as a result of not remembering the past?  Why do we know the names of Pharaoh’s two mid-wives but we don’t know his name?
