Why Family Ministry?
In years past, parents took time daily to “feed” their children the Word of God. Devotions and reading from the Bible were commonplace. But as family time has dwindled, so has time spent learning about God, and this is reflected in fewer baptized children staying active in the church when they reach their mid 20′s.
Our ministry at Holy Cross is focused on recognizing and celebrating some of life’s milestones. Each milestone we celebrate helps us to encourage and affirm parents and grandparents in their faith-leader roles.
- Baptism Celebration
- Confirmation Celebration (last Sunday in April)
- Second Grade Bible Presentation with Bible Buddies (January)
- High School Senior Blessing with Connectors (May)
The Family Life committee meets the second Tuesday of the month in the Parlor from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The Committee is open to attendance and encourages congregational members to participate.
